frampton comes alive!

Peter Frampton left the Humble Pie Herd behind and took this budget priced live double album and his talking box to the top of the charts. After four solid solo albums and extensive touring, Frampton had built up a following with his energetic stage presence. Breathing new life into his songs, he culled this set from four gigs in 1975: Marin County Civic Center, San Rafael, CA; Winterland Ballroom, San Francisco, CA; Long Island Arena, Commack, NY; SUNY Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh, NY.   'Frampton Comes Alive!'  spent ten weeks at the top of the album chart and has sold over sixteen million copies worldwide, making it one of the biggest live albums in history.
