Elvis Presley had some posthumous satisfactionin' with a remixed version that gave a little more spark to a song from an old movie soundtrack. 'A Little Less Conversation' was written by Mac Davis and Billy Strange for the Elvis film 'Live a Little, Love a Little'. The original version was recorded in March of 1968 for the film soundtrack with Al Casey on guitar, Don Randi on piano, Larry Knechtel on bass, and Hal Blaine on drums. It was released as a single and went to twenty-five in Canada and sixty-nine in the US.

In June of 1968, 'A Little Less Conversation' was re-recorded for his 1968 'Elvis' television special; but never used. It appears on the credits of the DVD deluxe re-issue. This newer version changed the key from A major to E major. It was this version that was used on the soundtrack of 'Ocean's Eleven' in 2001; and later, JXL (AKA Tom Holkenborg) became the first person given permission by the Elvis Presley Estate to remix one of his songs when he did his techno version of the song. This 'A Little Less Conversation (Elvis vs. JXL)' remix was released in May of 2002. It went to number fifty in the US; eight in Germany; six in Finland; five in France; three in Austria and Belgium; two in Romania; and number one in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Hungary, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.
